If You add a Maine Coon Kitten to Your Family
By: Sugar Island Maine Coons
If you add a Maine Coon Kitten to your family,
you will have hours of entertainment and a friend for life.
When you first bring them home,
They might be a little shy,
So you distract them with a toy.
Toys always get their attention,
and they will run, pounce and swat.
Playing will help them trust you,
So they’ll probably let you pet them.
When you pet them they might roll on their backs
and ask for a belly rub.
When you rub their belly, they’ll think you are playing,
So they’ll nibble your fingers.
Nibbling will remind them that they’re hungry,
So they’ll meow to let you know they’re starving and you’ll get them some food.
Wet food is their favorite and they gobble it all up.
Eating will make them thirsty, they love water especially when it moves
So they will paw and paw and make a huge mess.
While you’re cleaning up,
They will see a huge bug flying outside.
This will make them chatter and jump.
Jumping reminds them how much they like to be up high,
So they’ll climb the furniture, hop on the table
or even scale the cabinets.
While they’re up there they might take a nap
Sleeping is one of their favorite past times.
You’re tired too, so you lay down on the couch.
Seeing you in a vulnerable position may encourage them to come and snuggle or nibble at your head,
they may even groom your hair.
When you get up there is hair on your clothes and the couch,
So you decide to get the vacuum out.
The vacuum will startle you’re little kitten,
And they might feel shy again.
You remember that playing made them feel comfortable,
so you grab their toys and try to entice them.
Playing will remind you of how you felt when you first brought them home
And chances are if you add ONE Maine Coon kitten to your family
You’ll want ANOTHER ONE to go with it.
